BBC guys, any issue with raised ports?
I'm getting parts together for a 496 build. Will be a street/strip car.
I have Hooker Super Comp headers. I know that it takes some massaging to get them in with factory heads. I'm looking at ordering Brodix Race Rite BBR or BB-2 heads. The major difference is the BB-2 heads have raised exhaust ports, where the BBR doesn't.
I know that I can run raised ports, but don't want to chop the car up to do so.
Appreciate any feedback.

Make your own headers and you can make it work. I have dart 345’s on a tall deck and got 2.125” headers to fit with a small steering shaft

That's an option. I was planning on running the hookers for a while until I can get a set of Lemons made. I'm doing a complete paint job, building a 496 and 4l80e, so running the hookers that I already have lets me put money into other materials. When I have Lemons headers made they can build them for the raised port heads, so at that point it doesn't matter.
