2.8 to a buick 3.4 turbo or 4.3
Hey guys quick question
Does anyone have any experiance swaping a 2.8 MPI with a Buick 3.4 turbo?
Or can you take a 4.3 v-6 an bolt it up to a v-8 700r4
I dont think Im ready for a HO 350 and dont have the time to swap it so
1. Is the 3.4 carburated or FI?
2. How much work will it take to swap in the 3.4 or the 4.3 or will it be just as much work putting in a carburated 350?
Thanks
David

Car: Camaro Z281991 Engine: 5.7L/350 TPI Transmission: TH700R4 ··································· Car: Acura CL 1998

money wise, youre better of with the 350..
3.4's were fuel injected
but the grand national had a 3.8 FI
turbo if thats what you meant..
but i understand the 'not ready' part..
im in that situation miself but the situation was a bargain..
money wise, anything less than 350 isnt finatially logique..
but its youre money..
just my opinion

Yea Im slowley makeing my way up the power chain lol
I wonder if dropeing in a carbed 350 will be MUCH easier then a FI 350 (wireing and what not)
But the delima is this go Air National Guard during the summer or get a new engine and wheels and what not or carry a M-16 and a 9mm hhhhmmmmmm

i have a 4.3 in my race car. lot of work, lot of special parts needed to be made, but mostly race stuff. cost more and was harder to do than a 350 would of been, actually i took a 350 out for the 4.3. a v8 trans bolts right up to the 4.3
