So I’m planning on doing an engine swap within the next 2 months, im looking for relatively easy and I need it all to fit without deleting A/C or changing the hood because ideally I want the car to still be a cruiser that I can daily drive. I can spend around 5k and was hoping to get really high 300s to mid 400s in hp out of it. I’ve seen a lot of praise about the vortec 350 but wasn’t sure if there was a better option. Right now I have a carbureted 305 with the auto 700r4 in my 87 formula. Im pretty new to this sort of thing but I have a very knowledgeable family that can help me install it (my grandfather wants me to get a 383 stroker but not sure if I can afford it on my budget). Also if I went the vortec route im not sure what else I would need to swap on the engine parts wise to allow it to make that sort of power. Like I said I’m pretty new to this sort of thing, I bought it when I was 15 but now I’m 19 and I want some speed haha. Thanks in advance
