Re: 350 into 305

What edelbrock system are you gonna use? I have a 880 block/lt4 hot cam/fast burn heads w a pro Flo XT setup. It's hooked to a magnum f trans and have 4.11 gears. It's really fun. The engine runs great. The edelbrock setup drives awesome.
what gears do you have? My gut is you'll be at the threshold of what the rear can take at its best. Is it posi? What your plan for tires? Good power, good traction is an issue for stock rears.

Likely your torque converter and gears.

lt1 cam
No way to be sure what this means. VERY ambiguous. Not even gonna TRY to apply this description to any version of reality. There's LOTS of cams that could be called that; everything from any of several stock ones, to all manner of aftermarket ones intended for use in that engine. If it's a stock one, especially one of the ones that came in the 90s B body LT1s, not a good move. It would largely render the whole rest of the project a waste of time. Details matter.

is my torque converter going to be ok
Aside from all of us GUESSING out here whether it's OK to begin with, the question of whether it's suitable for your proposed purpose, depends on what cam you have. I'm suspecting though, you'll want to change it; the stock one forces the engine almost down to idle speed at a stop, and since engines don't produce much power at such a low RPM, you'll probably unlock AHELLUVALOTTA "fun" by replacing it with one that allows the engine to reach RPMs where it will be happier and more productive.

will the rear ends gears be ok ?
Like the converter, I have no clue about your gears, as such. However, their ratio is PITIFUL (2.73 if it's still stock), and it's not posi. Even just changing that out without touching the motor or converter will make an ASTOUNDING difference. It would be beyond foolish to leave that crap in a car that you're wanting to get some "fun" out of. Like the converter, choosing the optimum will require details of the cam, such that some realistic prediction of the engine's torque curve can be made, and the gear ratio then selected in accordance with what RPM range the engine will want to run its best in.
