LT1 Computer ?
LT1 Computer ?
Hey Fellaz, I have a chance to pick up an LT1 motor with low miles for a good price. The problem is that I already done the T56 swap on my L98 T/A and the new motor comes with a computer for an automatic tranny. Are they the same or do I have to find a new computer for a manual tranny car?.......Thanks

That computer will work. you might have to have it programed to work properly though. I hear the pcmforless.com is the cheapest they will do a complete program for 99 dollars.
Hope this helps.

Get LT1 Edit and you can do it all yourself, even disabling VATS and changing gear ratios for speedo corrections all yourself! Go to CZ28.com and read up about it, MUCH cheaper than sending out a PCM. Basically it turns your PCM into DFI kinda.
First you need to find out what year is the engine, for example 93 will not work that well because it wasn't a t-56. Also, you can buy straigh for GM a setup for Hot Rodders that will let you had any tranmission to the Lt1.
