Lifting engine?
I'm getting ready to pull my LO3 but don't have any chain. Although I do have a TBI to carb appapter and a carb lift plate. Would anyone trust lifting the engine being supported but just the three TBI bolts or has anyone done this before without hurting themselves or their car? Any input would be great.

Simple!
Remove TBI unit. Position hook over the top. Get 4 exhaust header bolts and put them in front and back of each head. Get a good tow rope and loop it round all 4 bolts and the hook. It will easily cope!
Andy.
PS In the photo I used a nylon tie down strap in place of the rope, since the rope was mucky!

I used an aluminum carb lift plate (Russell#611060), redrilled for TBI and three bolts. No problem whatsoever.
