truck motor as replacment?
What mods. would be required to use a vortec engine from a pick-up truck (90-99), to drop into a 86 Z-28 305 TPI?

I think your year span is a little too broad there, but...
The biggie: $400 Vortec TPI base. After that's out of the way, the normal 305 to 350 TPI conversion stuff. Check the posts on Vortec heads, HO 350, or 330 HP 350 conversions.
