More Power!
Ive got the opportunity to buy a 305 from an 86 cutlass for 150 bucks(and thats canadian!)Should i go for it or wait for a 350 to come along? Also,im getting a v-8 so i can drop in in my 85 camaro to replace the MPFI v-6.Which ever motor i get im goin to rebuild it.So should i go with TPI or leave it carbourated?Because my car is fuel injected now will it be easier to keep it fuel injected of what?

What all are you getting for that 150 bucks? I dont know what trans you have now, but that can be an issue. The one in the cutlass doesnt have a mount for the torque arm. If you wanted to run the engine thats in the cutlass, you'd need the ecm, sensors, and wiring from that car to make it work right unless you are just going to put a regular carb and distributor on it. The harness from the cutlass will probably need some messing with to fit in the F-body properly. It all depends on what you are doing here, just giving you some things to think about.
Oh, and just FYI thats like the lowest performance V8 available. It was probably rated at 150hp at best, not a whole lot more than your current engine. You could of course always build it up, but I dont know if thats something you are planning on or what.

If the 8th digit in the VIN is H, it's a 305, Y it's a 307. If it's a Canadian car it very well could be a 305.
