Engine swap in T-Top 'maro
Engine swap in T-Top 'maro
I have an 89 Camaro RS (2.8L) with t-tops. I want to put a 350 (possibly a 383 stroker) into it. I have Spohn weld on sfc's and have a line on a t-56 tranny. Will the combination of those two keep my car from twisting the back half completely off?
If that's not enough, what could I do to make up for the lack of roof?

The first thing I did to my T-top car before taking it to the track was have SFC welded in. It originally ran high 14's with the powertrain that was in it when I bought it. A couple of years later, after a lot of changes, I got into the 11's and had a 6 point roll bar welded in. I've never had problems with the T-tops. There aren't even any cracks in the roof pillers.
Lots of wrinkles in the floor though.
