Hey Can yall give me some advice on what to do i have a basically stock 89 firebird with a 305 tbi very very slow.. should i replace it with a new engine or just do stuff to the 305 i kind of want an lt1 in it but ive heard it was a hard swap.. I dont know squat about cars and im just learning.. please tell me everything i need to do to my car to make an engine swap, or recommend and engine.

the best way to learn is talk to people who know and look at liturature on teh subject. Cruzing thirdgen is a good way also.. youd be suprised what youd learn. Im going to swap out my 305 for a 350 shortly. I was going to mod my 305 origionaly but with the added strain placed on the motor from the extra power output combined with my attrocious driving, i just dont think it would last.
