Your tpi will choke the hell out of that motor I dont care how modded, if you want to retain your harness then just have the intake drilled for a disty and keep the TPI throttle body, problem solved.......

I was just thinking about something, since the optispark sucks so bad, Ive been having quite a few problems with it, could you keep the lt1 intake, drill it out, and put a regular distirutor on there? of course you'd have to make a plug for the timing chain cover. I mean, it seems like it could work, but would the computer even know what to do without the optispark? you'd probably have to switch to an aftermarket computer or something. but I guess it could possibly work. maybe? I dont know, Im just throwing out an idea here.

I dont believe you could get the disty to throw out the same pulse as the opti so you'd be stuck to either an existing TPI computer or an aftermarket sbc one such as accel dfi or speedpro fast.

The opti sends the low rez signal to make the injectors work. You would need to go with a dfi or something to make it work without it.

thats kinda what I wast thinking, but I wanted to see what other people thought of it. oh yeah, either of you know what a 4X sensor signal is for the ignition system? Everytime I hookup my scantool I get a code for

Ignition System Fault
4X Signal

I dont remember what code it is, but I think it may be the cause of my problems. any thoughts?
