Hi,

I'm in the UK and own a 1989 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am, yes the one with a v6 :-) I would be interested to find any other Europeans having the same car. I know 3 here in the UK and 2 in Sweden and as far as I know there should be at least 1 in Switzerland. Would be interesting to get to know other owners out there as well. I haven't got one, but just wanted to say WOW! those turbo TAs rock man!!!! I'm a bigger fan of Buick GNXs, but anyway those TTAs are very nice, very fast, very cool, very rare machines

Yes they Buick Turbo V6 is a great engine and it's faaaaast! No wonder all the GN's and GNX's are still beating most of the competition at the track :-)

Yep, actually 3 more and then mine making it 4 in the UK. And one other owner told me recently there is a really low milage one as well (2000 miles or so about 2 years agot) so then the total for the UK would be 5. But still rare, they only made 1550 in total and all of them where sold in the US new, no export models.

What number is your car? Also, do you know the numbers of the other UK cars or the cars in Sweden?

I got the vin's for 4 of the cars in the UK (including mine #1078) so I can find out. The Swedish ones are #1324 and #1359

I know of one TTA in the Egham area, I met him at the track once. Do you know Robin Grey then?

Gotta love the TTA's, that is a serious factory Hot Rod if I've ever seen one.

Isn't Robin Grey the owner of Auto Pontiac (http://www.autopontiac.co.uk/index.shtml) in Hounslow ? Didn't know he had a TTA. I know Andy, Bob and Peter have a TTA (making 4 with mine) and Bob told me there is a 5th low milage one as well as that one Robin's ? (about 2000 miles a couple of years back). And yes they only made white ones (wiht beechwood interior) and only option was with or without t-tops and with and without leather intearior.

No sorry, my mistake, Robin doesn't own one but he does own Autopontiac. The chap from Egham takes his car to Robin for various bits and pieces.

So does the V6 sound nice when you hard on the throttle?

How long have you had it for? Are you going to keep it for a long time?

Ok. If you find out the name of the owner in Egham let me know or pass on my details. I've had my TTA for 3 years now and have no plans to sell it. Great car to drive, very fast but not the V8 sound but sounds great idling and when you step on it but as I said not the V8 sound most people are used to. Also the cool sound of the turbo spooling etc
