**SUCCESS** at last !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just purchased an 86 IROC !!!

She is a 305ci auto, white in colour, although that will be changed in the next few weeks, if not sooner !!

A little frayed around the edges, but well saveable !!

If anybody is interested, will post some pics the night I get her, and on-going the next few weeks till she is "Transformed"

Wont sleep tonight !!

Nice one Alan. Definitely don't paint black- white ones were faster Black hides the lines and hide those wonderful contrasts (hood louvers, headlight pockets etc)

Midnight blue however......

Keep us posted!

Be next year at soonest. My finances still haven't caught up at all. Need to get paid more Also wife is talking about another kid, so that won't help speed things along.

If I get some cash then I will be back and I'm in sales so can control my own destiny to some degree....

Nice not having to worry about MOT and insurance at the moment though.

That black Camaro with the t-top on the floor was one of the ones I was considering buying when I was looking about 18 month to 2 years ago.

I never went to see it but the price was certianly tempting.

Just an update guys.

All the body repairs carried out and in primer.
New wing fitted and doors re-aligned, new hinge pins etc
With a bit of luck, she will be into the paintshop over the next bank holiday weekend.

All going to plan that is.
No skin left on the fingertips, but hey, it will be worth it !

Will post pics as and when.

The black one looks just like mine, save for the wheels.

Hi,

Very nice looking car !

My wheels were originally gold, but changed them to silver.
Just my preference really.

Been without a "proper" car now for just over 8 weeks !

Cant wait till she is painted and ready to roll !

Just got the door cheks ? to rub and she will be ready.

Yeah, thats next job on the list, the gold bits on the wheels will be dark metallic grey soon, then when the car is painted it will have silver grey decals rather than the gold.

That picture is quite old now, the gold stripes and iroc decals have been removed, it looks so much better for it, i think the gold is tacky.
