I like the Hooker cat-back, sound will be of preference, just search for some sound files, mine is in the signature.

$200 from Jegs, there are like 3 different application ones, the only difference is the way they bolt to the cat, I just had mine welded on. Oh, the clip was with a non hi-flo cat. Here's a pic of the tips it comes with.

I am going with Flowmaster. The Flowmaster system is a little louder than the Hooker system and sounds aggressive as hell.

I acually saw some numbers a while ago, but cant remember them... Only remember that the Hooker kicked ***. Thats why I got it! Damn glad I did too...
i have flowmaster on my s10 now, its only a 2.8 liter but it sounds like a small block.
i went to the jegs page, all they had was **** for a 305....does that matter, would it matter if i got a newer year exhaust?

Who cares how much it flows? Sound is much more important and nobody beats flowmaster sound with a hi performance motor, except maybe borla. Any difference in flow is minimal and hardly affects power. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE SOUND!!!!

I just use Turtle Wax Chrome Polish on the tips.
I have a Flow-Tech Terminator behind a 355. It sounds like KRAP. VERY deep, but NOT loud at all. I think this might be because of my cat...
If I get new mufflers, they won't be Flowbastards. Everyone has them. Last summer I ran with NO cat-back... it had the sound I wanted.

C'mon.... Virtually no high performance aftermarket muffler is going to actually limit power output because of its flow characteristics for about 99% of the people that frequent this board. They all will support huge power and if flow numbers are all that you are after, the single chamber Flowmasters will hang with the best of them. Very few of us should buy this muffler or that one solely on it's flow numbers, IMO.
And a lot of the problem with how some exhaust systems sound quieter than they should is the cat. Cats (even 'high flow' ones) will tame the loudest of mufflers....
I get nothing but compliments on my system. It really has a lot more to do with the engine than the muffler brand. I am certain that a Hooker or Spintech or SLP muffler would turn just as many heads on my car, but I love that Flowmaster sound
, so it is staying on there (until I need a bigger Flowmaster....

Just to point out what you said about the cats, I have a non- hi flo one on there, one day I'll rip it off, once emissions are over with. I still have to go, I got an extention but it's been about 3 months and no word from them, my luck I'd take it off then I'd get a notice.
I know this is a bit extreme I like my friends exhaust. Hooker super comp plus to dual Dynomax compilers...man it is LOAD AS HELL!..and the best sound I have ever heard
I also love the sound of borla the most

He// with mufflers, I'm goin outside right now and rippin the dang thing off and going to runa 5" pipe straight out the back. That would flow more than than a Flow or Hooker!!!!!!While I'm thinkin about it I'll just run dual pipes right off my headers, THAT will sound awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!I'll post pics when I'm done.

Sorry about the fit I threw earlier, I went outside and my wife slapped some sense into me. I am however thinking about going with a(or 2 $$$
) Flowmaster one chamber on my current 3". I was looking and the prospect of running duals on a 3rdgen is a bi**!

There might be a sligth difference since I have more power, but it shouldn't be too noticable. Will you be adding headers, cause that will affect it a lot.
yeah I am going to get hooker headers, maybe headmen im not to sure right now. I am going to do that catback and headers in july or so...
I think ill go with the hooker headers.
How do u think that will sound.
