got my straight pipe cat welded up - pics

I bought a Catco universal 3" cat. Cut the heat shields off and welded(actaully helio-flexed) them onto a piece of 3" pipe. now i still have the cat if i ever really need to have good emmisions

Haha very smooth Idea! That way in case the cops check under your car to see if you have a cat, it looks like one!

sure the hell did. i just used the heat shields from the cat. i still have a perfectly normal legal new 3" high flow cat in my closet just in case

Is it true that a high flow cat wont hurt HP? Im really thinking about sticking a cat back on mine. Will get rid of that hollow sound and Ill actually be able to get the car inspected anywhere then.

it cant hurt HP that bad, it hurts sound though. thats the main reason i dont have one, the sound is so much better
