Aftermarket Headers Question

I've got a 1991 Z28 1LE 5.7 Liter Auto. Of course it has the dual cats exhaust. I was wondering if there are any other headers out there other than Edelbrock and SLP that fit my car.

Sure there are, you've also got Headman and I believe Dynomax, Hooker and some others. Hooker makes the surer competition headers for the single cat cars but not dual cat. I e-mailed them and the guy who wrote back said he had been trying to get them to build some for a while but they aren't going to do it. If you want to be emissions compliant SLP, Headman, and Edelbrock are about it. If you want the preferred 1 3/4" headers SLP is it, they are the only supplier of emissions compliant 1 3/4" headers plus they are stainless steel meaning they will way outlast everybody else even coated. It's all a matter where you want to put your money. Oh you can find any number of long tube headers but try to build an exhaust system that doesn't have clearance issues. some guys will tell you they have but let me drive their cars one week. if I have to do ANY strange maneuvers to go over RR tracks or speed breakers and driveways they have clearance problems I don't care what they tell you. No one builds long tubes that are emissions legal. If you decide to go SLP check the GP on this topic we need more people on it.

I heard too many complaints about the SLP headers not fitting correctly. I don't want to dent the crap out of my headers to make them fit. Are you sure Dynomax makes headers? Are they smog legal? Do you got headers on your car? Later.

Yeah they do but I just looked at their web site www.dynomax.com they don't make them for dual cat cars, my mistake. I'm trying to get the GP to go so we can maybe save some bucks

Hey brody off the subject where did you get the smily face with the 2 machine guns? pretty cool. Oh one more thing is it hard to make the single cat header kits fit our dual cat cars?
