true duals problems
true duals problems
ok I go to jegs and I ask tell the guy I am looking for away to put true duals on my 82 camaro. The only thing he has is a true dual setup from dynomax that is only 2.25. He says I can only use shorty headers in my car. I am willing to raise my car even because I just want something differant but I dont want it all *******.I guess running the tips out the sides of the car infront of the tires is out of the question too. I have about 1500 saved up and I want a 12 to 13 second, and I am getting ready to do a full tbi to carb swap. I would really like to stay away from cat back. thanks

Well, you can put long tube headers on our cars, hooker part number is 2210, don't know the part number for hedmans though. If you go that route, you will probably have to make some modifications (floorboards/tranny) becuase they get in the way. As for running duals, it will have to be a custom setup since our cars weren't designed to have duals. You might want to check out no4njunk's or darbleinad's setup. I will be running duals myself soon, I just have to find time to do it.

You just have to make custom pipes that come off the shortys and come out right by the tranny (basically you're kinda making long tubes out of shortys).
