Manifolds hole

Ok there is a small rust hole in my exhaust manifolds.. right by where it connects to the engine.. I use this as a daily driver and need to fix it.. the guy at an exhaust shop said to fix that would probably be some work and that most of the time the bolts on those break off and then its major $$ to lift the engine up and work on those... i'm thinking maybe I could just use something to fill in the hole for now?.. its only a v6 so pulling the engine isn't something i was looking forward to doing.. ever...

I'd say try to put something in there, but it proly isnt gonna hold. Ur gonna need to weld it or something. JB weld might work for a little while will eventually fall out. If worst comes to worst then take off that manifold and take it up to the exuast shop and have them weld it for you.

That's about it. Take the manifold off and either weld it or get a new one. It's not very likely that the bolts are going to break off on the motor, the studs that bolt the Y-pipe on will probably break, but that's no big deal.

wd-40 or pb break loose + several days of consecutive soakings and the bolts will come off without much of a fight. This got my paper thin rusted manifolds off.
