I just installed a set of these tonight and I now have louder exhaust leaks than my blown out paper gaskets. What's the problem? I drove my car around and retightened them 3 times. The worst is cylinder number 8. It's so loud that my car sounds like a tractor.
Anybody else have this problem with embossed gaskets? What did you do to fix it?

 

Use Permatex'a Ultra Copper gasket maker on them. Slide them back into place tighten the bolts and let sit for 45-60 minutes. They will NEVER leak again - even if a few bolts fall out. Be warned though, they will take convincing to get off in the future.
