Catalytic Converter ????
Ok my car has been making a rattling noise from the cats and it just got even worse today now my car has no power and it sounds different. What could be wrong with the cats they are stock so could they have fell apart inside ? what cats should i get and where is a place to get them for cheap ???
Sounds like the "honeycomb" block inside the cat broke apart. I just got a new cat from summit. Its a Catco and its a high-flow model. I paid about 95 bucks shipped to my door. I've heard theyre pretty good. It looks good, just have to get it in. You can get a direct fit model for your car, they might be a little more expensive, but you wont have to weld or clamp anything.

I would lose alot of power if the "honey Comb" broke a part right ? cause my car has like no power at all now and i bogs alot rpms dropped below 500 could it be clogging my exhaust that bad ?

It most likely is, It could actually be causing turbulance in the cat also which would also cause power loss. If the cat was making the noise for a while and the power loss just suddenly happened, it might be someting else, but reguardless, the cat needs to be replaced if there is ratteling inside, so give it a shot.

More than likely your honeycomb "anti-pollution" element has worked its way loose. Happened to me also. Ive seen them get so bad that they turn sideways, blocking exhaust flow and causing major performance problems. My solution...stick a bfp (big f@%king pipe) in the opening and ram all the honeycomb out, leaving a hollow shell that will still pass visual emissions inspection. Your car is too new and EFI controlled so dont worry about failing. (unless you live in CA)
