Well, luckily, my brother just got the $200 one, so I'll take a pic of the flange on it, and then a shot of mine installed. I'm about to go to work, but I'll be home around 6pm eastern time, so look for pics a little after that.
i instaled mine over the weekend. i had the square 4 bolt flange cat kit from hooker. i just measured 4 inches back from the flange, and cut it off. its close enough to a circle there to use the adapters to make it slip fit, then just clamp it!
2 1/4??????? heck naw, if im under a car doing exhaust, im not leaving ANY stock crap down there. iv got a 2 1/2 y pipe from my headers, then i put the 2 1/2 ID to 3 od....put a cut out, then put a 3 inch test pipe for my cat then a 3 to 3 adapter to connect it all, then clamped everything. i have one leak cause the clamp broke. i dont need a cat till febuary, so till then the cut out is my cat. i jsut did a driveway install.
sorry if thats complicated!

but if you want to run no cat for now.. measure 4 inches back from the flange, cut it striaght. then go get about 2 feet of pipe the size you want, and some clamps and addapters. when you cut that flange of, its gonna look like a circle, but in reality its not a perfect circle. your just gonna have to bend the adapter a tid bit for it to slip on it good, then clamp it....kind of ghetto, but hell it works
whats the diameter of pipe that come out of the cat....the catback is 3" right?...and also whats the diameter of the inlet to the cat...i have stock manifolds and y pipe for now...and im upgrading them
soon...
Thanks for the help so far...its been useful...
