headers and pipes

thinking about a new exhaust on a 88 firebird 2.8L V6

anybody know if anybody makes headers for this model? also was told if i wanted dual exhaust i would need a special pipes that are like 2 oval pipes welded together that would follow the original exhaust route. any ideas?

I could be wrong, but I don't think they make headers for a 2.8.

you definetly dont need duals on a 2.8L V6. just go for the 2.5" mandrel bent Dynomax cat back system. it comes with all the clamps and brackets you will need. the system has a Super Turbo muffler with 2.5" inlet and dual 2.5" outlets. i believe the part number on the muffler is 17739.....but i cant remember for sure...sorry about that. call Summit and they will be able to tell you if any manufacturers make headers for your V6.

I've never come across headers for the 2.8 THough a certain someone on the Street Racing board has yet to supply me with a part # for the hooker 2.8 that he claims he has...
