Hooker LT's and Spohn Torque arm

I have Hooker long tube headers and Spohn's torque arm on my car. I need an exhaust setup for this. Will the mufflex y-pipe fit the torque arm's crossmember? Anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks

No, the Mufflex Y will not fit with a Spohn crossmember ... not even close.

Can the crossmember be grinded to allow the Y-pipe to fit?

Would a custom y-pipe be to restricted because of the Spohn Torque arm?

Agreed on the Spohn CM and Mufflex Y. Me thinks you will need to go custom Y-pipe on that. Grinding away material on the CM is prolly not a good idea.

I have a SPD T-56 x-member (which is the same as the Spohn T-56 x-member) and I'm using a Mufflex TPI-Y (the big one). I notched the x-member where the y-pipe was hitting in a few places. I never cut any welds, but the notches are real close to the welds. Eventhough I notched it, it was still sturdy enough to hang the tranny. But then I went one step further and welded a corner support brace on both sides of the top side of the x-member (the notched area's are on the bottom side). Now, the mufflex y-pipe fit fine and hangs higher than the header collector. (passenger side header collector is the lowest part of my whole exhaust system). Just my $.02

You have to order the Mufflex Y-pipe from Mufflex Performance
http://www.mufflex-performance.com/

Just call them up and ask for a (TPI-Y).

And no, it will not work with shorties. That y-pipe is designed to work with Hooker Super Comp Long tube headers with 3in. flanges.

Hey 1bad91Z,
You have any pics of that? I would love to see it. I was thinking of making my own y-pipe from the oval tubing that spintech sells.
Thanks, Mike
