Ugh Cops!

Listen guys im "Kinda" in a bind right now, I know I have been praising my MAC cat back which I love to death but the cops in my area are nailing me left and right for "destrubing parked vechiles" or something like that. This is my 3rd ticket in 2weeks and I've just got the cat back installed... I hate to say it but I gotta swap a different muffler in there but i would rather not do that :-( . Does any have a hooker muffler, or possibly a Ravin Muffler... I know guys this really hurts to do, but would some1 want to swap mufflers with me, this really sux I will even give you the lifetime replacement fourm to replace the muffler whenever from MAC. Thanx for your help guys...

Dude cops are just ****** around me... :-( its loud but flowmasters are louder, these mufflers just make everything around you vibrate, and give off a loud hollow sound... So cops like to F*ck with you... It sucks alot...

It all depends if your engine is worked.... It gives off a really loud metalic hollow sound... And I got dumps on mine so that may be adding to it... I just put my cat back on and it quites it down alot... So if ur running no cat its gonna be a loud motha..... But Yea i got the offroad catback.... the hks coated bs the dumps on it are junk... but the muffler is kick a$$... I solved the loudness problem, but now it doesnt sound as bad a$$ no more.. But im ordering the hooker catback, and selling the hooker muffler cause I want the tips that it exits to and the I pipe...

Before you go and hack your exhaust to peices I'd say go and have your exhaust tested. You should be able to get a DB reading somewhere. Then check your local laws. If your lower than the limit then you can tell the cops to shove it and also you'll have proof. Then you can take them to court and win becuase their to ignorant to know what the hell their talking about.

Good Luck.

Very good point.

What about all the rice **** that runs around, that sounds like a supercharged weedwhacker. That stuff is loud and annoying as hell.

That I'm not sure on. I'd say ask your local exhaust shop. They might know. If any thing, maybe try a performance( :sillylol: ) stereo shop. They should have the stuff to be able to give a DB reading.

Good luck brotha and keep us informed on what happens.

I would not call my car stock but Its not really built yet. My details are in the sig. When you say it sounds hollow, do you mean it sounds like the pipings is too big for the car, because I love that sound, or does it crackle like a flowmaster, because that sounds ok but gets old really quick. Thanks

You made my day! I have the MAC cat back system sitting in its box in my garage. I am a very happy man to hear that it is loud. Now if ATI ever decides they are going to send my supercharger, so I can get the car running, I can enjoy pissing off my hick dead neighbor.

Yes it is a very loud hollow sound like the pipes are way to big for it or something... All I have to say is Flowmaster with a more deeper hollower sound, no raspyness really... Just hollowness... Enjoy pissing your neighbors off... Mine should get even louder once I put my headers on, and no cat at all, Deadtrend is now helping me out with my car beind he lives so close to me. So he will be able to tell you guys how it sounds, once I get over there to see weather or no im gonna take my emissions stuff off or just keep it, either way it doesnt matter to me, most likely its going bye bye...

I cant wait till I get mine next week, because stock cfi exhaust on a 350 motor equals a lot of back pressure, and I think my cat converter is clogged, when all this adds up it equals slow.
