Which would flow better?...

lets say I have a 3" straight exhaust...now the question is...what would flow better? A single 3" straight through muffler? or dual 2.5" straight through mufflers? I know the 2.5" inlet wouldnt flow as good as a 3"...but if I put two would it flow as good or better then a single 3"? Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by "straight through mufflers"?

I think he means a 3 inch exhaust system with no cats and dual 2.5" with no cats just mufflers.

If that is what you mean, then the 2.5" dual exhaust would flow better.

Dual exhaust will outflow single exhaust. Actually 2.25" duals is about = to single 3". But duals are better.

nononoono haha I know dual exhaust will flow better then single. What I'm saying is I HAVE a straight 3" exhaust. What will flow better a single 3" straight threw MUFFLER (dynomax race bullet like) or lets say two 2.5" straight threw MUFFLERS (two 2.5" race bullets) Which muffler set up will flow better?

Answer's the same - dual.

Just please, PLEASE, don't say "Cherry Bomb"...

(It's "through", as in "Going through the motions", not "threw", as in "He threw out the ceremonial 1st pitch". You had it right the first time.)

the only thing is if you are running both headers into a 3 inch pipe then split them into dual 2 1/2 mufflers

you might be better off just keeping the single pipe instead

that split to make the dual pipes for the dual mufflers will disrupt the flow a little bit
