What exhaust has a deep, mellow sound

My muffler is shot and I am gonna get a cat-back for my 92 RS 305 TBI. I would like one that sounds like my B&BTriflow on my LS1. It's kinda bubbly and deep, kinda sounds camed, but not loud enough to hear inside below 2000 RPM. I want flow, but I don't wanna get too loud, just low, and no popping once warm. As always value is important. Thanks in advance.

Hooker cat back, or flowmaster (80 series)

Dynomax is also a quieter one. They also flow really good. They are supposed to last a while (not like the hooker though)

Good luck

I'd say dynomax or Edelbrock judging by the kind of sound you want. Plus, GM High Tech Performance just put a 3 inch Dynomax system on an 89 305 TPI Formula and picked up 2 tenths and 1.5 mph in the quarter, so they perform well.

I think an 80 series would be what your looking for

Alright, thanks for the replies.

I have been able to find all the systems online except the dynomax, where should I look?

I say edelbrock, fairly quiet, but it makes a statement

I would reccomend the hooker system. Quiet and low at idle, but it'll get looks when you step on it. Flowmaster will probably be a little too loud for you.

I'm seriously considering the Dynomax because it seems like a steal. Does anyone know the exact part number for my 92 RS 5.0 TBI? It seems a little comfusing to me.

I'd go with the hooker or dynomax setups. I have an 80 series on my car and I hate it. Don't get me wrong, I love the 40 series, but I'm not a big fan of any kind of crossflow mufflers.

Yea crossflow mufflers dont give the same kind of tone a single in/out does.... I just put a 40series Flowmaster on my car to finish off the **** people off exhaust and its really really nice.... Mac is gr8 also if you want something deep and bubbly.... But if you want loud any RPM range and dont mind the single in/out then any muffler for that matter would be nice.

Pit bull exhaust is what I have very deep rumble at idle, basically a straight through muffler. All stainless also.

I would tell you to call an Andvanced Auto Parts store and see if they have one. Look at summitracing.com, dynomax.com, or jegs.com. I know summit and jegs have them with a part number.

Good luck!

SLP is what your looking for, it has a far deeper andsmoother tone then slowmaster 80 series or any other muffler for that matter.
