Piped Converter questions
Piped Converter questions
I cut out the cat converter and put in a straight pipe. This only happend once but it caused a check engine systems light. This did not affect proformance in any way. It has never done it since.
How much gain am I going to have if any?? Am i going to have any O2 sensor lights go off or anything? It sounds a lot meaner now and not hollow like gutted converters. The guy did it for 30 bucks and better than buying a new hi-flo for over 100. But tell me what ya think.

What you did had absolutely nothing to do with the check engine light, that has to be something different. The converter does nothing except hinder performance(oh yeah, and act as a catalyst to reduce pollution).
You need to check that code and see what is wrong. I guarantee it is not from the cat.
