pipe in place of cat?

pipe in place of cat?

if i were to put a pipe in the place of my cat on my 91 t/a would i face any computer problems? i was just wondering because the tubes that go into the catalytic converter cant be there for no reason.

they are for emissions... anyway why do u want to do that your sig says you have high flow cats!!

They won't affect the computer. The tube that goes into it is the AIR tube which goes to the smog pump. If you take out the cat you might as well take out all the AIR stuff too.

they are high flow, they are also crap. they have a lifetime warranty on them and i have replaced them severall times, i am sick of replacing them. i will keep the air stuff for cosmetic purposes(my inspection place doesnt test the exhaust but they look under the hood. what do i do with the tubes that go into the cat? do i have them capped off or what?

You can just leave it open. All it'll do is blow some air out of it.

alright i just wanted to make sure that it wasnt sucking in. so i cna just leave it hanging there and it wont hurt anything?
