I have an annoying rubbing sound coming from the pipe that goes from my catalytic converter to my muffler. It makes this sound because it is too close to the brake line mount and rubbs up against it when the car idles high or when even low. I tried pulling it but it really won't bend that much, so, is there anything I can put in between it to stop it?? Thanks!!

Here's what you need. Some vice grips, wire cutters and some strong metal wire. Wrap some wire around the pipe and some other part of the car that is on the opposite side of the exhaust pipe side that rubs. Then tighten the wire by clamping the VG on it and turning it. This will pull the pipe away from what it's hitting. Sorry if this sounds confusing but I swear I know what I'm talking about. I just did this to my car.
