will it work?
will it work?
hey, i want to do headers on my 305 tbi. my catback is stock i believe, 2". my muffler is a flowmaster i think three chamber 50 series. now if i just do headers on the car and not replace the 2" pipe will i be getting the power im looking for, or is it a must to put a 3" pipe. the reason im not to crazy about changing the 2" pipe is because my friends 89 formula has a 3" pipe and personaly its to loud for me while your inside the car. thanks

Headers will definately help, and a 3" cat-back will help some more. But all you have to do is get a quiter muffler, dynomax is quiet, if you're looking for a quiet cruising muffler, the Hooker cat-back is good. At 60mph makes hardly any noise at all, but when you get on it, comes to life.
