Sorry, it was late, I was excited and sleep deprived. Apparently there are 5 sets still available.

www.slponline.com , p/n 30022 install kit will include all required gaskets & bolts. $79.95 plus $11.95 shipping.

Still think SLP's cost the same as Hooker 2055's?

They say you need a cat adapter, both Summit & SLP, but neither offer a p/n.

You can't coat them yourself.

Despite the fact that SLP says we need the overpriced extras, I believe that the point here is that one can't normally buy the SLP headers and Y-pipe for $349.50. I'm not totally convinced that I can't live without the install kit. I'd rather have a choice of gaskets and fasteners and may need to run to the hardware store a time or two, but the car will be off the road soon anyway. I'll have time. As for the cat adapter, I have a chop saw and a welder - and I'm not easily intimidated by new tasks. But Thank You for your opinion.

I used that to paint my 2055's. It provides corrosion protection, nothing else. Since the SLPs are stainless, putting that paint on them wouldn't help much.

Ceramic coating (such as Jet Hot) provides corrosion and scratch protection, as well as providing heat insulation. It's the two additional functions that make coating SLPs worthwhile, which are not provided by the high temp paint.

Jet Hot guarantees their coating on new headers for life. They guarantee it on used headers for 1 year.
