What to use for cat removal

This past Saturday I decided to gut my Kitty
I used a crow bar, Jack lifter bar for an hour and a half got a lot of garbage out but no hole any suggestions as to what you guys used to gut it also i let it run a couple times when doing that but.How can you tell if your muffler got clooged cause it kinda seems i mighta lost a little power.

Keep hitting the honeycomb till you can see through the cat and hit your muffler and make sure you did not get chunks of catalyst in it.
