I'm installing TES headers on my L69 85 TA and the EFE valve doesn't fit (butterfly valve thing on pass side). In the instructions it says to turn it backwards but any way I try it, it doesn't fit. the plunger from the acculator hits the transmission. Anyone else have this problem?

 

take that pos and throw it away- i had the same prob on my 84. go to an exhaust shop or a parts store and get a donut gasket like supplied with the other side and it will work fine
