Hooker mufflers?
Anyone ran the hooker (black) exhaust mufflers on there car? I want to compare them to flowmaster for sound and flow. They are only $50 each, so I thought I could save a few bucks over the flowmasters, or just get the flowmasters/?
Anyone try these mufflers?
Thanks

I believe you're talking about the Aero Chambers , correct? these come with the hooker cat-back.
the $50 are universal, so they won't bolt right in most likely, the one specifically for a 3rd gen is around $70.
sound clip in my sig.

No I am not talking about the 3rd gen version, I am talking about the universial regular 3" inlet/outlet $50 hooker mufflers. I am doing a custom dual 3" exhaust and would like to use these as my mufflers.
I know the system will be almost hitting the ground, but one member posted pics about his 2.5 true dual and he said he has little problems clearing his set up. I figure with my car not being a daily driver, that I could rig a dual 3" up and be happy with it mostly at the track.
Anyone ran the universial hooker mufflers? Do they sound like the one in your sound clip Mark (or about the same)?
Thanks

Im thing of going with the dyno max bullets or the 40 flowmasters. the hookers dont sound bad, but are thicker than the flows. Flowmaster 40's are like 4" and the hooker is 4 3/4" but might want to check.

Hey bluegrassz, have you seen the delta focre flowmasters that are like real small (short, like 4" long total)? They run about $80 each for the 3" inlet/outlet and look like they would flow great and sound mean... They are a 40 series muffler?
I think circle track racers use these mufflers a lot, what about on my 383? Would be crazy loud with headers, 3" short pipe into a flowmaster (like above) then 3" dumps oder the car.... Oh yeah!

Yeah, I have seen the delta force. Too much to spend. I have heard the bullets with a x-pipe and it sound bad azz. I think I will go with my hedman LT with h-pipe and maybe bullets. If its too loud, I could always add another bullet to each side. Im kinda torn between the bullets and flows though. The bullets would be better for clearance and is cheaper. But I dont want the cherry bomb sound either. I think the bullets sound better than glass packs, but who knows.

Yeah, don't get anything that sounds like a cherry bomb, total trailer park trash sound, something you did to your car like when you were 16 and did not know any better (he he). Get the flowmasters if nothing else, YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THEM! Flowmasters sound perfect IMO.

dual hooker aerochambers sound awesome. i have a dual exhaust system built with them. i love the sound, very deep. i would hightly recommend them. they flow better than flowmaster 40 series too.
