i asked this very same question not too long ago and more poeple seemed to say hooker than flow. just wait til mark sees this post and he'll tell u hooker all the way. the horsepower depends on how big the engine is. i have a 305 and it probably doesn't make a big effect. and don't listen to flow on how they say they add 27 hp. thats pure bs

Like stated the Hooker will flow a tad better, on most of our cars you can't tell the difference. On a built 406 or so, you may see about 5 more HP. Just go with whichever sound you prefer.

I suppose I better throw my vote for Flowmaster in. I love Flowmasters. On pretty much anything and everything . I have some sound clips if you want to here it behind a built engine.......

so are you saying that the smaller the engine the more hp you'll get out of it??

no... the smaller the engine the less. with a 305 you probably wont feel a difference in hp.

You probably aren't going to notice much of a gain - if any - with a small/low HP application no matter what brand you use...... They all will allow you to make MUCH more HP than the stock system will, so go with what you like the sound of..... Make sure the piping is mandrel bent though.....

Flowmaster Force II single 3" and cheap at $228.I prefer to stay away from crapflow exhaust systems no matter who makes it.I suppose someone will argue a crossflow flows more..right??Performance over beauty is how I see it.Only way to have two tail pipes is to have the duals in front of them.

they are both great systems, it is all a matter of personal preferrence. I like the exhaust note of both systems but I did not like the tips on the hookers so I opted for the flowmasters.

I will go with Flowmaster!

I love the sound of a flowmaster. I am not sure of the power gains, but I know that my car sounds bad A$$ with a flowmaster muffler. :lala:

well, ive been debating this myself for the last week or so, and i was leaning back and forth between the 2. eventually i decided i wanted flowmaster for better sound even though it had slightly worse performance, however i was just lookin around at prices and they are expensive compared to hooker aerochambers. the flows were like between $70 and $90 while the hookers are only $50 and have better flow. so, for the poor man like me , there is only one way to go.....HOOKER! :sillylol:
