which long tubes fit best?

I have a 86 sport coupe (carburated if that matters) I am looking for the best fitting long tube headers, the spark plugs are also straight out of the head not angled if that matters. I want a set of long tubes that clear everything on the car without having to fabricate anything.

Thanks in advance

also what size header? I have a well modified 350 which will also be getting nitrous soon so bigger would probably be better but whatever fits best.

My Hooker LT's went in no prob. Didn't have to grind bang or struggle at all with it.

I should add that I have all new stuff though. New Poly motor mounts. All new suspension. You have to remember that thes parts were designed on these cars when they were new. NOt 15 years old with 1xx,xxx miles on them with worn out parts.

I know of one guy that fit Hedman ones in no problem. Though if you can afford Hooker , I'd go with them, only if you need 1 3/4 headers though.

Yeah the hedmans dont fit bad. I think you can get away with installing them without raising the motor you just have to feed them from underneath.

They clear everything but i would recomend getting the S extentions that hedman sells it makes thing easier.

BTW youll have to have new shocks/struts and springs or its gonna touch ground

Mine is maybe 3 inches from the ground at the mufflers...gonna install new springs so i hope that helps

one pothole and the exhaust will be toast.

the shocks on the car are pretty new and I have the eibach pro kit spings which are pretty stiff, but if the springs make the car too low I am going to buy the eibach drag launch kit I think that it lowers the car 1/2 inch if that. whats the part number for the hookers you all are using?
