Heddman Hedders don't fit the cat???
Heddman Hedders don't fit the cat???
I want the Heddman Headers and Y-Pipe because I've heard that they're good, and affordable, which is a major issue. I've also heard that the y-pipe doesn't bolt on correctly? Is this true? So would I be better off not buying the Y-Pipe and giving an exhaust shop some money for a custom Y-Pipe? I wouldn't be able to have it coated, right? Because I wanted the HTC coating from Heddman. What the hell should I do?

If you have the single cat set up like I think you do, then you should be fine. The Headman Y Pipe bolts up just fine --IF-- you cut the old Y pipe off of the cat at the correct place. You should see a little lip where the cat would end when it SLIPS into the stock Y pipe. Mine pipes was so rusted, I had to cut. Double check the cut, not too short, and you should be able to SLIP the new Y pipe on to your old cat.

I am thinkin bout getting these myself...
I have 2 84 TAs one of which is about to get a complete overhaul...
nice to know that they fit my cars well...
BTW i think the Summit Headers are actually Headman headers...
