How to tightn header bolts on car??

I have a 87 Trans Am TPI 350 that I had Hooker Headers installed on it. The ones with the AIR pipes. The bolts keep coming loose and I get that ticking noise. What can I use to tightn them up. I used a wrench but it does not seem to help. Is there any bolts that would work that will not back out? I'm getting tired of spending 1-2 hours tighting up the bolts and it not lasting but for a day or two. What do ya'll use to tightn them up?

Try using Stage8 header bolts. They use an allen wrench to tighten them down and they are locking also. You can get them through Summit for 31.95(STG-8911). It may be pricy but you'll never have to worry about them backing out. Hope that helps.

1-2 hours? It takes me about 5 minutes, and I do it once a month or so. The Hooker's design can't be that different from Edelbrock's. All I use is a 8" long 7/16" heavily offset (about 1/2") wrench, and a 5" long 7/16" flat wrench for the back number 8 cylinder.

Thanks, I'm getting a set of those bolts ASAP. I'm tired to doing them. I'm not sure why it takes my 1-2 hours I used a 7/16 wrench about 6" long and It's a pain the one that keeps coming loose is the bolts on the #8 cylinder. Thanks

You may want to also consider Lock Tite. I have had some good luck with that but nothing beats locking washers.
