Help i can't get my s. plugs out with hooker shorties...
I've been trying all day - even with a open 5/8's wrench and I've only been able to get out cyl. 1 2 3... help

There are 3 ways to do this: buy SLP's shortened spark plug socket, make your own shorty socket, or cut a long slot into your own socket. With the shorty socket, about 1/2 its length is cut off and the middle drilled out some so that it can slip over a spark plug (the tip will be sticking through other side) and you use a wrench to turn it. This works pretty good, but it's still a little difficult getting a wrench on the socket for a couple of the plugs.
Cutting a long slot in the socket will allow you to slide it onto the plug from the side instead of from straight behind it. This way, you can still use a ratchet on the socket or a wrench if there isn't room for the ratchet. HTH...
