Header Quality?

I'm thinking about getting a set of FlowTech headers. Are they any good? By good, I mean are they going to improve horsepower/torque, gas mileage, and sound? Also, will they bolt to my factory Y-pipe?

They are not bad, but if you have a 350 or a really souped up 305 , get Heddman headers. 1 -5/8" primaries vs. 1.5"

Or if you have money, Edelbrock or Hooker. I hear Hooker makes a really good set for around $140 (?) YOu have to get the y-pipe too, no idea what Hooker wants for that.

Or, if you have an '86-92 single-cat TPI car, get the Hooker Super Comp 2055's. They have all of the emissions fittings, 1 5/8" primary tubes, and the Y-pipe with 2 1/2" secondary pipes and 3" main pipe. They're around $350 but are a very good quality header.
