?Gain from edelbrock TES?

#6872 1987 Camaro 5.7L V8 T.P.I. stock:7.91 TES's: 7.61 GAIN:.30

The above info is right off their website.
A gain of .30 something? This Camaro showed the lowest gain of all the cars/trucks tested. WTF, are our stock exhausts good enough? Sounds like a performance resource/fastchip/Jetstage 2 chip would give more power for less $$$

Headers reduced my ETs by an average of about .4 seconds. My Performance Resource chip reduced my ETs by only .2 seconds. The PR chip cost me $200 and the headers were $320.

Installing headers on a stock exaust system will do nothing for u. IF u add a complete exhaust system then u should knock out a couple of tenths. Once thats done go for the induction and so on so forth.

Yes, exactly, I forgot to mention that. Only install a set of headers if you have an aftermarket cat-back system already on the car. The headers and cat-back took my ETs down by .6 seconds.

Edel. headers dropped my et's down 3 tenths. It was a great mod but a real pain to install. It took me an entire weekend but it was worth it. I gained torque on the bottom end and it make the car sound much deeper and louder.

A free-flowing 3" cat wouldn't hurt as well...

I didnt go to the track yet but SOTP gain was very appearant. I installed the MSD box at the same time.Let me tell you: WOW,F**king,WOW!!! I'm from the old school of thought;if you gonna do anything to a motor, put in headers first and foremost. Than again these "newer"(EFI) motors have a lot of "free mods".
