K well im supposed to get my american thunder exaust system and dynomax hi flow cat in the mail 2day. So im calling around and trying 2 see how much itll cost 4 installation, welding parts on and putting them into place etc etc. Ive gotten from 80 bux - 180 bux so far and not done calling yet but these numbers are crazy. So I want to know how much everybody else paid just to get an idea of what average for such an install is. If you know some place cheap in the 510, please tell me as well. Thanks.

 

As far as labor goes, the standard rate (with tax, and in WA) is around $70. It will take around an hour and a half to two hours for a shop to install it (This is what the shop computer says it will take, regardless of how long it takes the technition to do the work) so at $70 an hour, the minimum you would be looking at for a competent welder/technition is around $105-140. You could save that much money by doing it yourself, or having a friend who knows cars help you, as long as the system does not require welding, or you have access to a MIG or TSIG style welder.

 

I can bolt the system up myself fine I just need the cat and the inlet pipe welded together cause end of my inlet is a flang (needs to be cut off) and then welded to the cat. Simple as pie. Ya I called around looks like average is like 120 bux, o well time to go to some mexicans, they always have good deals.
