Ok, I don't know what to get...

ok this is my first Camaro, its a 1992 RS 305 Auto, that is going to be getting a 350 or a 383 Stroker next year or two...

however, my exhaust is dieing...heres where the question comes in...

Here is what i want, i like how my stock exhaust is real nice and quite, but i need to get it updated...

i dont want exhaust that you are going to be able hear like 5,000 blocks away because i have a very loud stereo and i dont want the 2 mixing...

ok, with that in mind, i dont know what im doing, im learning stuff on Camaro's as it, well...kinda breaks on mine

so, what would you guys recommend, i want something that is going to let my car breath easy, i dont want a real loud exhaust, i dont want super duper god exhaust, but i dont want low quality exhaust either, that kinda, "in between" kinda stuff, and i dont know what im doing, so dont use any high tech terms and stuff, or im gonna get lost...

heh, put it this way, im a computer nerd, i got money, i want to get some good stuff, and i dont know what im doing, one of those kinda peoples...

so, ANY help at all would be appreciated...

i know the last time i got an exhaust system, i got all new pipe from cat converter back...thats about all i know
hehe

any idea's?

From what it sounds like your looking for I would go with the Dynomax Cat-Back system. At idle it sounds very close to stock but a little louder. It is much louder than stock when the engine revs up however. From all of the Cat-Backs that I have heard this one is the seems to fit what your looking for.

Hi, I have three recommendations for you. First, the Edlebrock TES catback systems are very nice. Easy to install, aluminized pipe and I believe a stainless muffler (mine doesn't have a spot on it after four or five years). This system has a really nice sound. It's rather quite at idle but you can hear the nice note, especially if you plan on putting headers too. It's also a good deal less than $300. Second would be Borla. This is a little more expensive, but you get two things that are nice for you. Firstly the whole system will be stainless, so you don't have to worry about rust...ever! Secondly, I personally find the borla systems to be a little quiter. They have a nice note, but it's just not as loud as many others. Thirdly, MAC, I am not a huge fan, but it isn't a bad system. The price isn't bad and the note is pretty quite all the way through except at WOT where you can hear it. It is alluminized, but I know people who have had quick rust problems. All in all I would go witht he edlebrock, but maybe I am partial. Good luck.

I would have to agree with the first 2 of KW87GTA recomendations but in my experiance with thier mustang line (vicariously through a friend) they are one of the loudest systems I have heard. I'm guessing it would be the same type of sound for the camaros also.
