what is a good size pipe to run

I plan on putting true dual exhaust on my 82 camaro when i finish rebuilding the 350. i will have some good headers, and i want to know what size pipe i should run to my turbo mufflers. is 3" too big, i see people on here always talking about it, but from what i have heard, it is oversized for a 300 hp 350. thanks

No, not at all, my car has 3" exhaust from the collectors of the headers all the way back. 3" is the perfect size for any engine making between 200-350 horsepower! My friend has a 3" cat-back system on his 85 Z28 with a 305, he's only making about 170hp and and that 3" exhaust is no where near too big!

3" is to big for a dual set-up. Yuo should use 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" to run duals. There easyer to run as well.
