Firebird side pipes

the exhaust pipes that go from just behind the front wheel and run along the rocker pannel and are also mufflers are called side pipes right?
Has anyone ever seen a 82-92 firebird with these? if so do you know where I could purchase them

thanks guys

I know whick ones you mean, I think those look really nice, don't know what they'll look like on a thirdgen though, there's a friend of mine with those on his 76 TA, I'll ask him for the details on where he bought them, and who makes 'em.

If your thinking those semi-truck kind with the metal heat sheild thing around them, you might want to recondsider. But maybe your thinking of something else and i just misunderstood. I've seen a guy in my town who put these on his white 3rd gen formula and IMO it lookes pretty white trash. Plus Ground clearance is a problem. But hey, if you like the look, its you car not mine! I can't slam anyone else's taste cause i find some odd stuff to be pretty cool.

Just for the record, i think they look badass on 2nd gens and 60's-70s corvettes. I just don't care for them on our cars.

i've always loved em on the vettes, some of the old muscle cars too, and especially on a Shelby Cobra (fake or real) they do look nice. But on our cars, i think we'd look better with say, a modified set of G/FX with a set of two side pipes coming out. I drew a picture of it a while back, but don't really have a way of posting the pic. Anyway, i think something more hidden would look better on our firebirds, kinda like that shelby stang Gone in 60 seconds, fit em into the GFX, but Ground clearence would be a prob. ?
