Help need exhaust removal tips

Help need exhaust removal tips

like it says need help removing muffler to put my flowmaster on dont want to spend money on taking it to a shop. Would heating up the rusted part help.

first if it is crimped on like some of the stockers you will have to cut ir but if not get your self a cut off wheel and cut slots in the stock muffler inlet then it should just come off if not bend them up with a larg screw driver

Unless it's stainless steel(which I doubt it is), heating up the outside pipe will help it slide off if it's just clamped on.

still cant get the muffler off i heated it up and i spent about 30 mins with a hammer and screw driver bend it back stiil cant get it off. I went to auto zone but those F@$#ers dont have a pipe cutter. I guess im going to have to take it to midas.

took me about an hour with a rubber mallot and alot of banging and help from a friend. it was raining too. i still had to end up bringing it to a shop to have the work done because i needed tips and the muffler was sitting a little offset from center.. and i would say it was a very good thing i brought it to a shop, cause they did an excellent job compared to many that i have seen before..
