Anyone running the random tech catback?
how's the sound? the quality of the exhaust?
I'm going with this or the hooker catback, and i want to know if the exhaust money is justified for the random tech.

I dont have the entire setup from random tech(the pipes and muffler)...what i DO have is a random tech cat(stock 86 exhaust size) and a flowmaster 2-chamber. With these two things, and the stock piping sizes, the car sounds VICIOUS. I dont run headers(yet)and everyone asks me if i do. I do also have MEGS 4.5" diameter rolled tips(see website in sig)comming straight out from under the bumper...so this of course, helps the sound somewhat...but I am VERY pleased with what my exuaust sounds like with the mix/matching that i did. I've never heard the full catback from random tech...but if it sounds as good as their cats, then its golden in my book.

I had the Random cat back on my z...loud as all hell. But that was with SLP 1 3/4 headers and no cat.Got busted too many times so i went back to the Flowmaster single 3".The Random didnt fit all that well, rattled alot,i feel it wasnt worth the money plus to me it sounded to much like a cherry bomb muffler. It did look awesome on the car though with the 3" pipes.I went back to the Flowmaster and havent regretted it yet,i had it on the car with the old motor, but i wanted to try something different with the new motor,so i tried the Random. The only other complaint i have is that the passenger pipe never even got exhaust flow thru it,mainly just for looks.I am not trying to bash Random as i have a complete suspension from them and love it..what a difference in the car.Just givin my opinion on the cat back.Hope this helps.
