Experience with Delta Force race Flows?
I'm redoing the exhaust on my car going with 2 1/2" duals dumped at the rear. Now my friend comes up to me saying he'll sell me 2 brand new in the box single chamber Delta Force Flowmasters (not to be confused with delta FLOW) for $50. They cost $75 a peice new so I'm considering this even though I'm not a big flowmaster fan.
These mufflers are only 6 1/4" long which would be perfect for clearance/space issues. My only concern is that they would be insanely loud. Yeah, I know, they are RACE mufflers with 1 chamber they must be loud. But how loud? I've never heard these behind a mild motor - only on 600+HP race cars.
So do you think I should do this? The car is only driven like 3 times a week so being loud doesn't bother me but being loud to the point of getting pulled over every day is another story.
Does anyone have any sound clips or video of a car with single chambers?

from what i hear these mufflers are actually quiet for race mufflers for what thats worth. i also have heard someone who owned a 40 series and the race muffler that the race muffler actually was a little quieter. mufflex has sound clips of a 4th gen camaro on their site. i have no doubt that they are loud though. keep in mind though, this is all of what other people have said....i personally have not owned these mufflers.

doubt they can be any louder then a straight through muffler
like your bullet or even cherry bomb type mufflers
also if you look at what most imports drive ( don't think your going to get that bumble bee sound though ) is straight through mufflers and for the most part they are fairly quite till you get on them
the only car I have heard that is insanly loud with them is this guy around here named bruce who is running a single straight through 3" muffler (www.apexi.com look at the GT spec muffler if you want to see the exact thing he is running) on his rx7.
but then again the rx7 has a bad port design for making a car quiet
the only other cars I have seen really loud doing this setup are the ones that either run open headers OR have a really bad exhuast leak so a lot of the sound bypasses the muffler
