anyone using supertrapp mufflers?

I am thinking about running a dual exhuast with two supertrapps on the end instead of trying to squeeze a pair of mufflers under the car, does anyone else use supertrapp muffler/tips?

I had true duals (2x 2 1/4")with Supertrapps at the ends on my mildly built LG4(cam,intake,carb etc)At first I was using 10 discs and I would blow them out off the core.So I tried it with no discs, lasts a little longer but not long enough I have to change the core every yr also have to repack the PITA fiberglass twice a yr..IT sux..BTW the size is a 4" x 18"(i think) and its stainless.

Well Im tempted to run duals on my firechicken and use supper traps but after hearing Daz's probs I wont now.

Superblue87Formula, I would not recomend not running a muffler. At least go with 12inch glasspacks and glasspacked chrome tips. the 12's can fit anywhere so space is not a problem. the glass pack tips will help alot in sound reduction. On my 85 camaro i have "duals" with 32 inch glasspacks and it is very loud so you need some sound reduction thats why i wanted the supertraps for my bird. At least consider some sort of muffler.

Dynomax makes a tube muffler like the glass packs. I heard a dual exhaust on a Chevy Xtreme and it sounded really good for a 4.3L

I'm running Dynomax bullets with dual exhaust and an X-pipe and it was pretty loud until I got the tune right - base timing is 9deg, with ESC pluged in 15-18deg, TPS @ .52, idle @770, fast chip- I think the X-pipe helps to keep down the noise too

I think with the right tune, tips and a crossover you may be able to keep the noise down with glasspack type mufflers

Yes, use a muffler or something.
