Header Clearance
I have an 83TA-LG4-100K-miles which I want to build up (add 350, suspension mods and so on) but it needs an exhaust now so that's where I'll start.
I'd like to know about header clearance (starter, ground and so on). I checked the archives and most of it dealt with long tubes.
I'm thinking Hooker Competition 1&5/8 with a Hooker 3" cat-back and some kind of high flow cat. The other option would probably be a similar Edelbrock setup but from what I've read Hooker seems better.
Some guy said that he lost two inches of ground clearance with Hookers getting the drivers side header connected to the Y-pipe and I read somewhere else that the Edelbrock headers come down to far as well.
Can anyone give some advice on this.
Thanx

I have Hooker Competition Shorties. You have to get a Y-pipe made.I didnt loose any ground clearance with them. For the cat back sys I lost a little ground clearance but not alot.I have the Flowmaster 3inch cat back.Hope this helps.
